Pody Credit Score

The number behind your limit, and what moves it.

Your Pody Credit Score is a number from 0 to 1000 that summarises how much of a repayment risk you are. It drives your spending limit. You can see it on the Finance tab and under Profile, then Account & credit limit, where it is shown as a dial with the band it falls into.

0–299Poor
300–499Fair
500–699Good
700–899Very Good
900–1000Excellent

A band is not a promise

Your band sets the ceiling on what you can be offered, not the amount you will be offered. Every plan is still subject to our due diligence at checkout.

What moves the score

SignalEffect
An instalment paid on timeRaises it, the largest single driver
A plan completed in fullRaises it, and re-rates your limit
Paying a balance off earlyRaises it
Academic standingRaises the ceiling the score can reach
A late instalmentLowers it, recoverably
Repeatedly missed instalmentsLowers it sharply

Recovering after a late payment

One late instalment lowers your score but does not lock your account. Consecutive on-time payments pull it back up. A default, however, is reported and retained for seven years under the Credit Reporting Act 2017.
